jam sessions

We’ve started hosting regular public jam sessions since february 2023. With 25+ installments so far, this has become a hotbed for musicians around bucharest (and not only) to gather up, make music together, network and overall have a blast. Since January 2024, the jam sessions take place every tuesday.

These recurring events are made possible with our friends at The Conclave — a community of musicians that has been forming for some time at the Echoes and is now perpetually growing. Big plans ahead.

voices’n’echoes

A spin-off from the jam sessions, these are open-mic sessions for singer-songwriters and new bands. It’s much less about experimenting and improvising and more about showcasing a few songs, be they your own compositions or covers. It’s about making your voice heard and playing live in front of an audience without the stress of a full concert.

Voices&Echoes takes place every last tuesday of the month. We provide the sound setup, but you have to bring your instruments if needed. The mics are hot and waiting for you ♥

concerts

We host concerts every Thursday. Our wish is to help the local scene grow and we want to offer as much support as we can to up-and-coming acts, indie outfits, underground renegades and even to more established names.

While usually indoors, sometimes we can set up the stage in the garden. The rule for this is simple: we respect our neighbors, so it’s all tied to the volume of the performance. Therefore one can’t use acoustic drums but one could use other percussion instruments, like a cajon, congos, electronic drums etc. We encourage mainly acoustic sets for the garden, but as long as the loudness is at a low level it is doable.

Beyond Thursdays (which have become a staple day for Echoes) we can also host concerts on Sundays and, sometimes, in other days of the week (except Tuesdays).

urban echoes

We’re hosting our friends at Urban Grooves, every two Fridays for Urban Echoes. An event dedicated to urban culture, hip-hop, r&b and funk

dj sets

We love hosting DJ sets. It’s about the eclecticism of the vibe and taking sonic trips through the sky. Check out some of the sets we’ve had in the past (see below).
